Starting my Personalised Gifts South Africa Online business during Easter 2020 was a natural step for someone who has always loved shopping and finding that perfect gift to make people happy. Each order is a unique opportunity for me to create a personalized gift tailored to the recipient’s personality, interests, and special occasions. Whether it’s selecting their favorite colors, understanding their hobbies, or crafting a bespoke hamper, I take pride in making each gift truly special.
I thrive on the creative challenge when clients give me the freedom to curate their gifts, even when working within budget constraints. The heartfelt emails and notes I receive afterwards, describing the joy my gifts bring, are incredibly rewarding.
Most of my clients are based overseas and trust me to find that unique gift for their loved ones, even when they can’t be there in person. Whether it’s individual gifts or corporate gifting, I ensure each item is thoughtful and personal, thanks to the detailed information I gather upfront.
One of my most unusual and rememerable request was for a lady overseas whose Mom lived in a retirement home in SA. Her TV and main source of entertainment had broken down and she asked if I could assist. Obviously it’s not something I’d usually do, but after a few phone-calls… one very happy lady was back watching television!!

The carer
I understand how hard it must be to move away from family and friends, especially when they are older and need special love and care. I have therefore invited Jill, a specialist carer, with vast experience to join The Gift Shopper as The Carer, to care for your loved ones in SA, on your behalf.
Jill is skilled in all aspects of personal care, including:
- Patient Care
- Dressing of bed sores, abrasions, grazes etc
- Post operative homecare
- Bathing and dressing
- Administration of medicines
- Meal planning. Assisting clients with eating
- Assistance with toileting
- Assistance with moving, transfers and walking (including hoisting)
- Help with shopping, social activities, driving clients to appointments
and outings
Last but not least, COMPANIONSHIP – love and care in your absence.
For now this service is only being offered in the Durban area. Each request will be assessed individually and a caring plan devised to suit you, the patient and Jill. Prices shall be according to time and requirements.
